The Plainview Telephone Company decided that their existing facility did not meet the needs of the growing communications industry. They acquired a building adjacent to their existing office building and demolished both to make room for the new office. The new building included a connection link to an existing telephone switch equipment room. A deep basement was not completely finished, but allows space for future conference rooms and growth. The basic structure is wood frame and brick veneer. The building is constructed between three existing buildings. Structural considerations were provided to accommodate the adjacent structures.
