As an electrical engineer, Doug’s responsibilities involve the layout, specifications and design details of transmission and distribution projects, as well as system planning and protection and project coordination. With an extensive background in power system planning, analysis, design, rates and operation, Doug is able to draw from a broad base of information and experience as he works with the application and design of power systems.
Doug began his career as a Project Engineer for Shell Oil, then spent 6 years working in public power, with the Nebraska Public Power District. In 1995 Doug started his Electrical Power Consulting Engineering career with Scheidegger Engineering, which was purchased by RVW, Inc in 1996. His experience gives him an ability to develop plans and designs that meet client system needs within industry standards and to implement the completed design. With this unique perspective of customer needs, Doug can address a broad range of potential concerns in electric power systems.
